Hello, esteemed seniors: The pressure in my catalytic cracking stabilizer column, the top temperature of the column, the amount of liquefied gas exiting the unit, and the liquid level in the column are all fluctuating, but these fluctuations take on the form of regular wave patterns. I checked that the control valves for the hot stream line, non-condensable gas release, cold reflux, liquefied gas outlet unit, and feed were all in normal condition, and the feed temperature was also normal. I’m at my wits’ end now; I hope the seniors here can help me. Thank you!
Just offering a suggestion – check if it’s an issue with PID tuning. The relevant control valves are manually operated one by one to determine which variable is causing the fluctuations, and then the PID is tuned accordingly.
Automatic mode? It’s difficult to adjust the PID properly without having access to instruments
It’s not automatic; it’s manual. The gauge is hard to read
Try releasing non-condensable gas for a short period to see if it makes things easier to operate.
Today we’ve finished it – we stopped the air cooling for liquefied gas, and we also turned off the water-cooled auxiliary line for liquefied gas to prevent freezing in winter. That’s all. Thank you everyone
