As a child, I suffered frostbite on my hands, feet, and cheeks, and it recurs frequently during winter. Does anyone have any good methods they can share? The merits are immeasurable.
Treatment for chilblains: 1. Soak the affected area in warm salt water for 15 minutes, for 1 week in a row. 2. Applying \"Shi Di Shui\" topically to the affected area of chilblains, 6–10 times per day, shows good efficacy for chilblains that have not ruptured ; If there is local skin breakdown or erosion, erythromycin ointment can be applied first; Ten-Drop Liquid can then be used once the inflammation has subsided. 3. When chilblains first appear, blow on them with a hair dryer while massaging them every night; after a few days they will disappear. 4. Applying Shangshi Zhitong Plaster topically has achieved good results in treating first-degree frostbite, characterized by skin redness and swelling, as well as sensations of heat, itching, or burning pain. The method is to first wash the affected area with warm water, dry it, and then apply the ointment directly to the skin there. Generally, healing occurs after 24 hours of application; if there is no improvement, it can be reapplied several more times. It is not suitable for use in cases of skin breaks or allergies. 5. There are many ways to treat chilblains, but they often require a long time and show slow results; however, using Yunnan Baiyao is highly effective. The method is as follows: for chilblains that have not ruptured, mix Yunnan Baiyao powder with liquor to form a paste for topical application, while making sure to keep the area warm. In cases where chilblains have ruptured, clean the affected area and then sprinkle Yunnan Baiyao powder directly on the wound; cover it with sterile gauze, and recovery will occur within a few days. 6. The useful application of Shangshi Zhitong Plaster for chilblains: Shangshi Zhitong Plaster can be used to treat skin redness, swelling, itching, and pain caused by chilblains that have not ruptured. First, wash the affected area with warm water and dry it, then apply the plaster once a day; results are seen after 2–3 applications.
When I was little, I would often apply Vaseline to the areas affected by chilblains and warm them near a stove. Unfortunately, nowadays there is no more Vaseline, nor are there any stoves anymore
Cook the egg, remove the yolk from it, place it in a spoon, and heat it over a flame. Once it turns black and oily, apply it to the frozen area while it’s still hot (be careful not to get burned).
