Today I came across a 2010 study that examined the impact of wind power generation in Inner Mongolia on wind conditions in North China; the preliminary conclusion was that it reduced wind speeds at several monitoring sites in Beijing and Shijiazhuang. Friends in Beijing and Shijiazhuang must still remember how strong the winds were in the winters over a decade ago, right? There was no fog at that time, right? There are two factors contributing to the current fog: pollution and stable weather conditions. So.......?
I have thought about this before; the first is contamination from the lubricant system, and the second is contamination caused by companies that manufacture related equipment. To this day, there is no relevant answer.
What the poster is thinking is that wind energy is consumed to some extent in these areas (that is, upstream), resulting in no wind remaining further downstream.
Consider a large system in which energy is conserved; part of the kinetic energy of the air (the wind) is converted into electrical energy, so the total kinetic energy of the air should decrease.
It makes sense too; some energy is throttled back. However, if this theory is correct, then why haven’t brick users used it to explain why the fog doesn’t disperse? Or maybe I just haven’t seen it done?

The standards for refined oil are set by experts from Sinopec, while experts from the Ministry of Environmental Protection stay out of it because they don’t understand the subject. 2. Experts in fog control are led by the Ministry of Environmental Protection, so experts from the meteorological agency have been put on the sidelines. The right to speak on a particular topic is always monopolized by experts from certain backgrounds. If my hypothesis is correct, then measuring wind changes in such an open large-scale system (from Inner Mongolia all the way to Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei), it is impossible to draw any conclusions without three to fifty years of data collection. And I guess the weather system is an open system, so whatever result comes out is correct:shutup:
Atmospheric circulation and the spatial scale of current wind energy utilization are not on the same order of magnitude, so I don’t think this is the cause of the fog.
1. The data in the literature are others’ observation results; it cannot be said that there is a causal relationship between them, but they seem to be correlated. 2. Butterfly effect. The butterfly effect is not a hypothesis but is mathematically proven.
Beijing fog, Mongolian wind power… This blame is being thrown around like crazy; everyone is taking the blame!
