Hello everyone: I would like to know about the types and components of synthetic initiators used in the PVC polymerization industry nowadays
As far as I know, the EVC technology introduced by Jinhua and Beierhua used synthetic initiators, specifically the EHP initiator, which is synthesized in reactors using three substances

There are ready-made initiators available; although synthesis is cheap, it’s difficult to control properly, so it’s better not to use it.
So far, I haven’t heard of any that perform well. Also, I wonder if that 400,000-ton plant in Canghua has been put into operation yet? It seems its technology also involves synthetic initiators.
I asked experts from Beier University of Chemical Technology today, and they said that this technology is not suitable for use in China. The main reason is that the measuring instruments available in China are not precise enough, which creates many problems. Additionally, three different substances need to be used together: Kait C (available only from Aksu), Kait D (hydrogen peroxide), and Kait E (alkaline solution). Aksu’s technical barriers require the use of its own Kait C, which is why there is no value in promoting this technology.
