Dear sea friends, is the logic diagram drawn by the design institute or by the owner? Must the process package submitted to the design institute include logic diagrams? Should we still only submit a table outlining the logical relationships, and then have the design institute create a logic diagram to be handed over to the DCS manufacturer for program configuration?
The logic diagram was drawn by the design institute. However, during the design process or after the design is completed, the design institute generally consults with the client when making the configurations. To be honest, it takes a lot of effort to describe logic relationships clearly and accurately, while also ensuring compliance with process safety requirements. Don’t underestimate it – combinations of 0s and 1s can give rise to numerous different relationships
The instrument manufacturer will provide training for configuration; if it’s a very small factory, one can only rely on the instrument manufacturer and its after-sales service.
