Can reformation be done with hot nitrogen and oil?

The semi-regenerative reformer was shut down urgently due to a minor incident, and no thermal hydrogen with oil was applied to the catalyst. For the next start-up, there will be no hydrogen – the entire system will be filled with nitrogen. Is it possible to start the compressor cycle and heat the system using nitrogen to carry the oil? If it doesn’t work, what are the potential risks? Feel free to discuss it
In my personal opinion, hot nitrogen carrying oil may lead to catalyst coking due to the polymerization of olefins in the reformation stage 3 and 4.
Does no one know? I heard that several Sinopec units have carried out hot nitrogen with oil.
I have used nitrogen for starting up processes. As for using hot nitrogen with oil, I haven’t done that. I think as long as the quality of the nitrogen is satisfactory and within specified limits, there shouldn’t be any problems! You should ask the manufacturer specifically!

Hot nitrogen carrying oil may have a certain impact on catalyst coking. Pt tends to aggregate at high temperatures. Hot hydrogen carries oil, which can remove heat in a timely manner, preventing the catalyst from coking.
