Most storage tanks are simply placed on foundations without embedded steel plates; those under higher pressure may have anchor bolts around them.
In coastal areas, the threat of typhoons is taken into account, and anchor bolts are used for fixation; this should provide a better result than using embedded plates
This problem has been bothering me for quite some time. Let me share my opinion. At the bottom of the container are steel plate supports; some of these supports have oblong holes, while others have circular holes. For oblong holes, this steel plate is needed for fixation. In other words, from bottom to top: concrete pier – dry slab with oblong holes – container, or concrete pier – container, with them being connected to each other by anchor bolts. I’m not sure if it’s correct, especially the second one. Who will teach it?
