Our plant’s separation process is designed for 2.1 MPa pressure; we would like to replace the existing electric drive with a turbine-driven separation pump. I would appreciate it if experts could advise us on how to carry out this modification, and if any manufacturers of turbine-driven separation pumps could be recommended Thank you!
Hydraulic turbines are generally installed between the liquid outlet at the bottom of the absorption tower and the regeneration tower. In the past, we have used high-quality pumps from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and American ITT, along with hydraulic turbines provided by those pump manufacturers. In China, companies that manufacture steam turbines should also be able to do this; for example, Qingdao Jieneng – it’s worth giving them a call and asking.
There are many manufacturers of hydraulic turbines; the key component isn’t the turbine itself but rather the clutch. The domestically produced ones come from Xi’an Aerospace Engine Factory.
