I am in charge of a company that is engaged in oxygen repackaging; it has a tank of liquid oxygen, which is then vaporized and filled into gas cylinders. The question is: does the electrical system in the repackaging area need to be explosion-proof? According to the design specifications for oxygen stations, the repackaging area is classified as a Zone 21 fire zone – does this mean that the electrical system there also needs to be explosion-proof?
