Dear sea friends, is a corrosion inhibitor added during the solvent regeneration in coking? Many sources state that injection is necessary, but our installation doesn’t have it, so the pipelines are suffering from severe corrosion. Is there a good solution?
A corrosion inhibitor should be added. Does your factory charge so much? Without it, corrosion will definitely occur more rapidly.
Solvent regeneration refers to the regeneration of ethanolamine, right? We didn’t add any corrosion inhibitors to our regeneration either. Where do you inject the corrosion inhibitor?
Have you added your device? How exactly are the pipelines added?
I know that hot and warm-state salts will be formed; is this related to whether a corrosion inhibitor is used or not?
It’s MEDA. We haven’t added it here, but various materials I’ve seen say it should be added, so I’m not sure what’s going on
