On December 28, 2015, the list of the top 100 Chinese fertilizer companies was released in Beijing. This is the 8th time that the Fertilizer Professional Committee of the Chinese Chemical Society and the China Chemical Industry Information Association have published this list. Hubei Yihua Group, Yuntianhua Group, Wengfu Group, Yangquan Coal Industry Group and Yangmei Chemical Industry Group, Guizhou Kailin Group, Shandong Lubei Chemical, Jindongda, Syngenta, Jiangsu Apollo, and Zhongyan Anhui Hongsi Fang rank among the top ten, with these leading enterprises maintaining their strong positions. This year, about 30% of the companies on the list are new entrants, and they are showing strong growth momentum, indicating that more new enterprises focusing on technology-driven, differentiated products and services are emerging and helping to accelerate the process of transformation and upgrading across the entire industry.
China is currently a large producer of fertilizers, but it is by no means a strong country in this field. Looking at the top 100 fertilizer companies, it’s a competition in terms of production capacity and output, as well as costs; some of these companies are likely to be eliminated.
