Thread Content
The pipelines in the workshop are connected using threads, and air leakage can be observed at many of the threaded couplings. What’s causing this, and how should it be addressed?
Unplug and reconnect, wrapping Teflon tape properly during the connection
Well, are there any other reasons besides that?
The seal is not good; it has to be reinstalled, and either tape or hemp can be used for that
A leak in the card sleeve simply means it isn’t secured properly.
The quality of the threads must be good, as well as the quality of the pipes that are fitted using couplers. The quality of couplers available in China is relatively poor; they stop functioning after a few uses. It is recommended to use imported couplers instead.
Is the air leaking from the thread or from the ferrule? What type of thread is used? If the clip is installed properly, there should be no leaks.
If the leakage is due to the threads of the collar, tighten them first; if that doesn’t work, wrap some Teflon tape around them. If air is leaking at the point where the collar is inserted into the pipe, it’s better to replace the collar~~
For gas threaded ferrule connections, the first thing to consider is the approximate gas pressure; when using ferrule sealing for gas systems, high standards are required regarding the quality of both the ferrules and the instrument tubing. Is the leakage at the threaded seal due to the absence of tape or insufficient tightening? If neither of these is the case, there may be a problem with the sealing thread itself. Leaks at the ferrule seal can be attributed to two sources: one is the ferrule itself and the other is the instrument tube. Firstly, the roundness, surface finish, and hardness of the instrument tube connected to the collar must meet the required standards. If there is no problem with the instrumentation tube and the ferrule is installed correctly and tightened properly, the ferrule can be tightened again to check for leaks. If the leakage persists after re-tightening the sleeve, there is a problem with the sleeve itself; it is recommended to choose a product of higher quality.
