Dear sea friends, let’s discuss what are the main environmental issues posed by catalytic cracking units and the downstream treatment units
1. Sulfur flue gas. First, the dry gas and liquefied gas catalyzed by shii need to be desulfurized; secondly, the gasoline and diesel produced through catalysis require further desulfurization. Most of this process involves using sulfur recovery units. 2. Salty wastewater. Sulfur-containing wastewater goes without saying, at least I think so. The treatment of saline wastewater remains a weak point for our factory.
In fact, there are still many environmental issues in the subsequent treatment units of catalytic cracking that require further research and resolution, such as the treatment of liquefied gas desulfurization off-gases, the treatment of waste alkali residues from liquefied gas and gasoline desulfurization, the treatment of off-gases from acidic water tanks, the treatment of S Zorb flue gases (which seems to have been resolved already), and wet flue gas desulfurization processes (characterized by high humidity and high H2O content, causing visual pollution). Just think about it – there are many more things that require everyone’s joint efforts

Where did you take the flue gas from SZORB for treatment?
Regarding the issue of whitening in wet flue gas desulfurization, power plants also face this problem; it’s just a visual issue and not a violation of standards, don’t you think? There are many pollutants in the device: it catalyzes NOx, SOx, and dust in flue gas ; waste agent ; Wastewater with excessively high salt content, and high-sulfur exhaust gases from sulfur recovery ; Emissions from the furnace after switching to oil and fire, etc

Currently, there are two treatment methods: one is direct alkaline washing, which leads to the problem of salt-containing wastewater discharge, and then there is “Bailong”. Another option is to send it to the sulfur recovery unit; before entering the hydrogenation reactor, the hydrogenation catalyst needs to be replaced.
That’s it; it just doesn’t look good. One could consider installing a device to remove water vapor, but it’s not necessary (in my opinion)
The saline wastewater generated after flue gas desulfurization is also a problem; it’s just that environmental protection agencies are not addressing this issue at present. The disposal of waste agents is also tricky
It can be said that the products of catalytic cracking are still at a rough processing stage; there is still a long way to go before they are ready for release Gasoline is relatively okay, but diesel, dry gas, and liquefied gas – if not desulfurized later on – can cause serious problems in subsequent production processes!
