For the pipe flange bolts used with acids, alkalis, and hydrogen peroxide, it seems that double-headed studs or fully threaded bolts are better options. But what’s the problem with using hex head bolts? I checked the relevant specifications: hex head bolts are suitable for applications where the pressure is less than or equal to PN16, for non-toxic, non-flammable media, and in situations where there is no intense cycling of fluids. The pressure I work with isn’t high; so is it okay to use hex head bolts in this case?
What’s your pressure level for operation? Is what you call a hex head actually a single-ended bolt?
The pressure is less than 1 kg; since it is a metering pump, the height difference after the pump is around 5 m, and the length of the pipeline is approximately 25 m, so the operating pressure is not high
Sure, that’s possible; add shock absorbers and flat shims on both sides. But I really have never seen a flange bolt with a single external hex head
