It is not possible to determine the nature of hydrazine hydrate in the product; it cannot be confirmed whether it is indeed hydrazine hydrate. The fact that it can cause bromine water to fade indicates that it has reducing properties, but this does not prove that it is hydrazine hydrate. How can a qualitative analysis be carried out?
You can add some dingtong to produce dingtong dinitrogen. Or add propylamine to form propylamidine (separate by adding saturated sodium hydroxide).
