Plate heat exchangers are ideal devices for heat exchange between liquids and between liquids and vapor. It is a new type of high-efficiency heat exchanger made by stacking a series of metal sheets with a certain wavy shape. Its unique structure gives it a significant advantage among various types of heat exchangers. The structural principle of plate heat exchangers: A detachable plate heat exchanger is composed of numerous corrugated thin plates that are arranged at regular intervals; these plates are sealed around the edges using gaskets, and they are pressed together by a frame and compression screws. The corner holes in the plates and gaskets serve as distribution and collection channels for the fluid, while also allowing the cold and hot fluids to be separated properly, so that they flow in the channels on either side of each plate, thereby enabling heat exchange through those plates. Working principle of plate heat exchangers: A plate heat exchanger is a type of heat exchanger in which thin metal plates are pressed into plates with a certain wavy shape, then stacked together and secured using clamps and bolts. Thin rectangular channels are formed between the various plates, through which heat exchange takes place via the half-plates. The working fluid flows through narrow and tortuous channels formed between two plates. Hot and cold fluids pass through the flow channel in sequence; a partition plate separates the fluids, and heat exchange takes place through this plate. The structure and heat exchange principle of plate heat exchangers enable them to feature a compact design, small footprint, high heat transfer efficiency, great operational flexibility, wide range of applications, low heat loss, and easy installation and cleaning.
