Can gasoline pump cavitation be resolved during operation, without shutting down or stopping the pump?
Is this problem inherent, or is it caused by improper operation? If it is the latter, it can be resolved through appropriate actions; if the design or selection was improper in the first place, then it is necessary to redesign and select anew

Cavitation generally occurs when: NPSHa ≤ NPHSr + 0.5. Reducing the NPSHr value is possible, but NPSHr is related to the pump’s design; it is recommended to choose a pump with a lower NPHSr value; II: Increasing the NPSHa value can be achieved through the following methods: ① Increasing the pressure at the suction inlet; ② Raising the liquid level at the suction inlet; ③ Shortening the pipeline leading to the pump inlet; ④ Enlarging the diameter of the inlet pipeline; ⑤ Closing the outlet valve to reduce flow rate; ⑥ Reducing unnecessary bends and valves in the inlet pipeline; ⑦ Lowering the inlet temperature to decrease the saturated vapor pressure. These are the possible solutions; please choose the appropriate one based on the actual conditions of the equipment.
If it’s completely online, the only thing to do is to keep the inlet valve open and try reducing the outlet valve slightly; if there’s a filter at the inlet, replace it. If there is a container at the inlet, raise the liquid level inside the container
