Current situation: Our company has equipment that uses a time relay (which is activated manually and shuts off automatically after 20 seconds) to control the solenoid valve; the opening of this solenoid valve is what enables the flow of ethylene oxide as well as its shutdown. II. Problem: The solenoid valve often fails to close automatically. III. Problem description: 1. Since the solenoid valve cannot close automatically, ethylene oxide continues to flow through, posing a risk to the health of workers. 2. It’s not a problem with the time relay, because when the solenoid valve fails to close, it has already lost power. 3. It is not a problem with the solenoid valve itself, as the same issue persists even after replacing it with several new solenoid valves. And it takes a long time after returning to normal before problems arise again. IV. Solution: Gently tap the upper part of the solenoid valve with a wrench, and the solenoid valve will close. Then it can be used normally. V. Hypotheses: 1. Could \"solid impurities\" present in the gas be affecting the operation of the solenoid valve? (There is no filtering device between the liquid gas storage tank and the solenoid valve.) VI. Other: 1. Is there a pressure relief valve specifically designed for ethylene oxide? (We now use a nitrogen pressure regulator instead, but sometimes the regulator malfunctions.) ) 2. What material is used for ethylene oxide delivery hoses? About 4-5 meters away.
