Is the clogging of the sieve holes severe during the operation of the primary drum screen? Is it clogged by large particles or scale? How to clean it? Is there an online way to clean it?
For rod mills, it’s necessary to replace the sieve after using it for a while, which is time-consuming and labor-intensive. I don’t know if there’s a better way.
For the cleaning of drum screens, depending on the characteristics of the coal slurry and its composition, it is possible to rule out the possibility of scaling. One reason could be fibers and other impurities from the coal that get trapped in the holes; another reason is large coal particles that block those holes. Additionally, high-viscosity coal slurries have strong cohesive forces between their components, causing them to stick together. Solutions include installing devices to remove impurities during coal feeding and weighing, flushing the drum screens regularly, increasing the amount of chemicals used, or modifying the coal mixture before use.
There are hardly any sundries; mainly, large particles have caused scaling to form in the sieve holes and sieve bars.
Large particles of coal can be washed away with water; in the case of scaling, coal slurry is generally not corrosive. The key factors are the material and design of the screening bars, so you might as well take some photos and discuss them together.
The coal slurry additive is strongly alkaline, the coal slurry itself is weakly alkaline, and the screening bars are made of stainless steel; therefore, alkaline scaling is likely to occur. I just stopped temporarily to do a high-pressure wash; there are no photos.
