I have a solution that contains 20% *ao acid and 10% sulfuric acid. What type of container should be used? Is 31L okay?
It also depends on your temperature; the temperature of this mixed acid is crucial for selecting the appropriate materials.
The temperature is 15-20 degrees; I’m not sure if 316L will work Thank you
If the pressure is not high, fiberglass-reinforced plastic or fluorinated lining pipes will suffice; for higher pressures, 316L is more than adequate
A fluorine container at this temperature is more suitable, as dilute acids are highly corrosive
If the pressure and volume requirements are not high, non-metallic materials can be considered; fiberglass and enamel are both options. If pressure requirements exist, could a polymer coating be applied inside the container?
I think that under normal temperature and pressure, using carbon steel lined with PTFE offers the best cost-performance ratio. If metal must be used, I recommend 304L, as 316L has lower corrosion resistance to *ao acid compared to 304L.
