1. ERP System: Our factory’s ERP system has the following issues, preventing the establishment of a closed-loop management system. I would like to ask for advice on how to overcome these problems After a maintenance plan is issued, the department that submitted the plan as well as the management department are unable to obtain timely information on the inventory levels of materials and spare parts. They also cannot know details such as the procurement progress, delivery times, and actual costs associated with items that are out of stock. This leads to a range of problems in areas such as cost control and on-site construction scheduling. For example, in terms of the management of daily spare parts, after a request is submitted by the workshop, it’s not possible to know whether procurement will take place, whether the specifications of the purchased parts meet the requirements, whether they can be installed, when they will arrive, or when installation can take place. It’s also impossible to determine the remaining inventory levels, which results in high levels of spare parts stock – some of which are never used at all, leading to serious waste and increased operating costs. The same problems exist with the use of three doses: there are issues with registration, procurement (tendering), transportation and delivery, usage, empty containers, and the recycling of waste products. That is, after registration in the workshop, it is not possible to know the progress of procurement; during usage, it is not possible to determine the inventory level. As a result, there is a discrepancy between the quantities registered, those purchased, and those actually used, leading to waste. After use, the procurement center is unable to determine how many empty barrels need to be collected or how much waste catalyst needs to be recovered on site. In short: barriers to information sharing lead to waste and increase operating costs. 2. Paperless office operations: For shift handover records, both a paper version and an electronic version are required, which results in the same work having to be done twice. Similarly, internal operation records are also kept in paper form, when in fact an ERP system could be used to create electronic records. The same problems exist in various approval processes; once one department raises objections, the grassroots units have to go through the approval process again, which leads to repeated occurrences of the same issues, further reducing the efficiency of grassroots work and increasing their workload even more:dizzy:. Such changes in management models will not improve efficiency if the mindset or management philosophy remains unchanged. In my opinion, the use of information technology brings about a reduction in time costs for businesses. Once a business reaches a certain scale, the impact of time costs becomes significant, as in the case of processing business data and facilitating information exchange. ERP management can fully demonstrate its efficiency only when enterprise informatization reaches a sufficient level; this involves digitizing business processes such as production, material movement, transaction handling, cash flow, and customer interactions within a company. Through various information system networks, new information resources are generated, enabling people at all levels to access and analyze information related to various dynamic business activities. This allows for decisions that optimize the allocation of production resources, ensuring that corporate resources are utilized effectively so that the company can adapt to the rapidly changing competitive environment of the market economy and achieve maximum economic benefits. The fundamental aspect of this process is automated data entry; if information cannot be entered or is entered delayed, then ERP management cannot function properly. The reality is that ERP and MES are not seamlessly integrated; they do not communicate with each other. Our company is even worse off; we don’t have an ERP in the strict sense. :L
You can report this to your superiors~~ and then have them pass the information on to the IT department~~ It’s good to adopt existing solutions, but it’s also necessary to adapt them to one’s own needs and keep improving them~~ Our IT team sometimes asks everyone to provide feedback regarding the usability of the systems as well~~
ERP systems are useful for financial records and accounting, allowing managers to easily review and verify accounts. However, they add a lot of work for those at the grassroots level and do not meet the needs of actual production

ERP should be about process reengineering, rather than being merely a simple IT system – as that would indeed lead to a lot of unnecessary work
