Hello everyone! We specialize in corrosion research, and the flexible anti-corrosion materials developed for complex structures can maintain their effectiveness for 50 years; they have been used over the years in flanges, bolts, tank edge plates, welds, and more. I would like to ask for your insights regarding the following questions: 1. In actual production, for components that suffer from slow corrosion caused by the external environment, does your company have any criteria for testing in order to determine whether such components need to be replaced or maintained? (I’ve talked to many companies, and they make decisions based on intuition; some of them haven’t even noticed this issue yet.) 2. The actual service life requirements for such custom-shaped components. (30 years of equipment design – 50 years? Is the actual service life the same?) How many years do exotic architectural components typically last? ) I would appreciate it if you could share your insights!

1. In actual production, for components that suffer from slow corrosion caused by the external environment, it is necessary either to regularly check the degree of corrosion or to use accelerated corrosion testing methods (such as placing the components in a humid and corrosive environment and monitoring them on a monthly basis to estimate the corrosion that would occur under normal conditions). 2. Of course, it is desirable for enterprises that the actual service life of complex-shaped components be as long as possible; they all hope it can match the lifespan of the main pipelines. However, this is generally related to the company’s maintenance schedule and frequency of inspections. In my opinion, a service life of 10 years is already quite good.
Similar to the function of viscoelastic materials, it consists of anti-corrosion pastes and anti-corrosion tapes, with varying specific components.
