The materials used for the anode and cathode main pipes coming out of the electrolyzers in our company are plastic. The branch pipes that connect these main pipes to the individual cells often break, and we would like to replace them with titanium or 310S material. What are the disadvantages of replacing plastic with these two types of metal pipes?
The main pipes at the anode and cathode outlets of the tanks in Beihua Machinery are made of metal: titanium for the anode and 310S steel for the cathode. There’s no problem with that. May I ask which brand of electrolyzer is being used by the original poster? ? ?
No problem; manufacturers that currently use plastic for the export main pipes are also starting to switch to metal ones

In my opinion, INEOS’ cells are not effective enough in controlling and directing stray currents; they are far inferior to Japanese cells. If switching to metal valves is desired, it is recommended to first implement sacrificial electrodes or grounding measures
