What kind of washing water is generally used in the ammonia washing towers of conversion units? Our unit uses phenol water recovered from phenol-ammonia processes. What kind of washing water do you guys use in your units, and what are the reasons behind that?
High-pressure boiler feed water. The reason for using high-pressure boiler feed water is probably that the pressure level is just right.
Is it the boiler feed water from the transformed deaeration station?

What is the temperature of this cold water, approximately?
Yes, the temperature is around 30°C.
Soft water at 30 to 40 degrees is sufficient.
Do you mean desalinated water by soft water?
These days, water is mostly treated using reverse osmosis. The water temperature certainly can’t be too high.
Desalinated water is water from which strongly electrolytes that are easy to remove have been removed or reduced to a certain level. Soft water refers to water with a hardness of less than 8 degrees. Soft water contains fewer soluble compounds such as calcium and magnesium. The two are not the same thing.
