Today, my supervisor asked me how to determine whether an on-site transmitter is measuring accurately, which really confused me; I really didn’t know how to tell. I would appreciate some advice from the experts, thank you

If a parameter is particularly important, a value at the surface can be set as well; this can then be compared with the value on the DCS side during inspections.

Is it a pressure transmitter? If that’s the case, turning off the safety valve means using the root valve; then disconnect the pressure transmitter and connect it to the atmosphere to check whether the reading is at zero. If it is, then generally there is no problem. If you’re still concerned, out of a sense of responsibility, it’s necessary to use a pressure calibrator to check at 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% to see if these values correspond to the transmitter’s range

The master asks you, what’s the point of coming here to ask questions? He is testing your knowledge of the manufacturing process. What is this measurement value approximately? It’s a problem if it exceeds the normal range.
It’s purely based on experience; if you’re given new operating conditions, there’s no standard measurement to determine whether it’s accurate or not, right?
