Explosion protection in laboratories

An inspection by higher authorities indicated that the laboratory needs to be explosion-proof, but it wasn’t designed with that feature in mind; even if it were made explosion-proof, the analytical instruments themselves would not be explosion-proof. How should this issue be resolved?

In accordance with the \"Design Code for Laboratory Buildings in Petrochemical Centers\" SH/T3103-2009, section 11.1.5, the analysis rooms for liquefied hydrocarbon gases, gas cylinder rooms, reagent stores, as well as the areas used for washing and sample storage where flammable and explosive substances are generated, must be equipped with explosion-proof outlets and lighting fixtures. The higher authorities said that the laboratory needs to be explosion-proof; this is probably because there are many people there, and just like control rooms, it requires an explosion-proof design, especially on the side facing the equipment. It's just my personal opinion.
