Sinochem Third Construction signed a contract for the comprehensive utilization project of upgraded coal at Gansu Huasheng Fine Chemicals Co., Ltd. On January 15, 2016, Sinochem Third Construction entered into a construction contract for this project, with a value of 260 million yuan, aimed at processing 3 million tons of coal per year on an upgraded basis. The project is located in Yinnan Industrial Park of the High-Tech Development Zone in Baiyin City, Gansu Province, and includes a project for the comprehensive utilization of coal upgraded to higher quality at a capacity of 3 million tons per year, as well as a project for aromatic hydrocarbons using new processes with a capacity of 450,000 tons per year. Among them, the aromatic hydrocarbons project uses high-temperature coal tar, medium- and low-temperature coal tar, etc. as raw materials, and employs a suspended-bed hydrogenation process to build a new aromatic hydrocarbons plant with an annual capacity of 450,000 tons. Company 14 signed a contract for the 450,000 tons per year aromatic compounds production project using new technology, undertaken by Gansu Huasheng Fine Chemicals Co., Ltd. On November 30, 2015, Company 14 successfully secured the construction contract for this project, with a value of 150 million yuan; the planned completion date is from March 15, 2016, to August 31, 2017. Designed by Ningbo Chemical Research and Design Institute Co., Ltd., this project uses high-temperature coal tar, medium- and low-temperature coal tar as raw materials, and relies on the suspended-bed hydrogenation process to build an aromatic hydrocarbons plant with an annual capacity of 450,000 tons. The main products are Aromatic Hydrocarbon 3#, Aromatic Hydrocarbon 2#, and Aromatic Hydrocarbon 1#, thereby maximizing the added value from the processing of waste oil and coal tar. The project is in line with **industrial policies, meets the requirements for comprehensive resource utilization and the development of a circular economy, and plays a positive role in promoting local economic development.
