Now we have two options: a centrifugal pump or a screw pump. It’s a bit tricky; since it’s a transfer oil depot, there is the issue of pumping liquid from the bottom of the tank. Centrifugal pumps are easier to control when used for loading oil (in my opinion), but they aren’t very effective at pumping liquid from the bottom of the tank. Screw pumps have a strong self-priming ability, but when used for loading oil, problems such as pump blockage can occur if there is no vehicle available. Let’s all the experts come and discuss it

To ensure the storage tank is emptied, this can be taken into account during the design phase – for example, a certain slope can be incorporated in the tank’s design； Or create a small pit at the bottom of the tank ； If drainage is required during the production process, two pipelines need to be designed, one for normal loading purposes ； A clear-out line ； Choosing a screw pump allows the problem of pump blockage to be addressed through design interlocks ；
If choosing between a centrifugal pump and a screw pump for loading crude oil (from the bottom of the tank), a screw pump is the better option. If there is concern that the pump might get stuck due to the absence of a vehicle for a short period, a small circulation system can be established by opening the return valve; the ultimate solution is to install an inverter for control.
