I am a college graduate with a degree in automatic control, and I’m going to start working as an instrument technician at a factory on the first day of next month – a factory in Hebei that produces hydrogen cyanide. I didn’t have a very clear idea of what being an instrument technician entailed before; I mostly heard positive things about it from my teachers, but I had no practical experience. I’ve been following HaiChuan for some time now, and it seems to me that the role of an instrument technician is not quite as I imagined it to be. I hope that those who are more experienced can give me some advice on what I need to prepare for and what things I should pay attention to in my work (I’ve never worked in a factory before). So I decided to switch to a technical field and start working there gradually. I’ve never been to a chemical plant before and have no experience at all, so I’d like to hear the opinions of experienced workers and seniors.
