The leader asked to collect data on gray fusion and fixed-bed processes for smokeless coal gasification, such as gasification temperature, methane production volume, carbon conversion rate, etc. I find it very difficult; it’s not a factory, so where can I get the data? Now, I can only turn to experts and kind people on Haichuan for help; I hope they will generously offer their guidance.

Bituminous coal from Jincheng is used in gasification of crushed coal; the facilities at Jinmei Tianqing and Jinshi are in operation, and the relevant data is easily available. Methane makes up about 7–8%, and the temperature in the combustion zone is around 1400 degrees. Of course, in practical operations, what’s important is the oxygen-to-vapor ratio. The carbon conversion rate is over 98%.
Gray fusion gasification was used at Jinmei Tianxi, but it has been shut down now and replaced by space furnaces. It can be seen that the performance is not good.
The air-oxygen ratio during Tianqing period is 4–4.5, with a high Jinshi value
Fusion cementing was first developed by Fengxi in Shanxi; I’m not sure what the results are like now.
Fengxi has already been using the Tsinghua furnace; it’s now on its second generation, with coal water slurry as the feed material. There are still issues with the practical application of gray pyrolysis at present; it works fairly well in Wenshan, Yunnan, but only for producing fuel gas.
Fengxi started gray polymerization in 2007, almost at the same time as the Tsinghua furnace was put into use.
