Today, while communicating with a manufacturer of control systems, they mentioned that when the temperature of the reactor exceeds 100 degrees Celsius, the pressure transmitter needs to be equipped with a cooling water system for protection. Is this necessary? Also, must all pressure transmitters have the same explosion protection rating in order to be connected to the same control system? Please ask the experts to help answer this

Previously, the reactor temperature was always over 500, and the reactor pressure differential transmitter didn’t have water cooling either. There is no flow of air inside the transmitter; in such a case, its temperature will end up being only slightly higher than room temperature. Moreover, if the pipeline is long, the exposed parts of it will dissipate heat quickly
Does that mean the same explosion protection rating is required to be connected to the same system?

The pressure transmitter contains silicone oil, especially those with capillaries; therefore, a condenser or other device is used for the pressure transfer tube.
