Seeing a vendor selling oranges on the street, I asked: How much per jin? Answer: 1.5 yuan per jin. Question: It’s too expensive. Would you sell it for 5 yuan less per 1.5 kilograms? Answer: Not for sale! Not for sale! Question: Really not for sale? Answer: Really not for sale! . . . . . (Thought for half a minute) Laughs loudly: Are you trying to tease me!? :lol:lol
I’ve encountered this in supermarkets: 1. Buying mineral water in single bottles is a few cents cheaper than buying it in boxes； 2. The blended oil in larger containers is more expensive per liter, when calculated on a per-unit basis, than that in smaller containers. It mainly depends on sales volume; when sales are good, the unit price tends to be higher.
