What does the clean oil pump do?

I’ve recently started working with the atmospheric and vacuum distillation process, and I noticed that there is a line for extracting wash oil from the vacuum tower. I haven’t been able to understand what this means; I asked several colleagues, but they weren’t sure either. It’s not mid-stage reflux, and the extraction point is located below the reflux point! I’m a complete novice; I’m seeking some basic information!

That makes sense. But since it’s about refining Daqing oil, why does Fushun Petrochemical have this pump while Daqing Petrochemical doesn’t?
This has nothing to do with the feed oil; you should take a look at the equipment layout diagram of the tower and see how the packing sections, the number of side streams, and the reflux system are arranged within the vacuum tower.
You must be referring to backwashing; the principle is similar. We have four measurement lines, and aside from the return line, the three other lines include a backwashing line as well.
If what’s written on it is \"clean wash,\" then there must be a \"dirty wash\" option as well. This generally relates to the concepts of the design institute, taking into account the intended use of the by-products
