The issue of oil consumption in crude benzene processing

Our factory consumes 50 kilograms of oil per ton of benzene; some coking plants manage to reduce this consumption to 28 kilograms per ton of benzene. I wonder how they do that – does anyone know?
I know that relevant measures are needed; one shouldn’t try things blindly
