There are sand-carbon filters and safety filters before ultrafiltration, so the water entering the ultrafiltration system is quite clear, and the pressure at the inlet and outlet is similar. Then why does the membrane get clogged so quickly? The flow rate was 4 m3/h when the water entered the membrane, but it dropped to 2 m3/h after 2 hours. After cleaning the membrane with degreaser and dish soap, a yellow-brown fibrous precipitate remains. What is causing this blockage?
It’s just a guess, but the water is clear; what appears is a yellow-brown filamentous sediment. Is it possible that the level of some type of fungus is too high? Have it tested to find out what those yellow-brown deposits are; try adding a bactericide before the activated carbon
What was said upstairs makes sense; it might be fungi blocking the membrane. How long has the system been in use? Sand-carbon filters need to be cleaned and disinfected regularly.
Is PAC added to your water intake? Adding an excessive amount can cause this situation; backwashing and chemical cleaning are not effective, but cleaning with a reducing agent will restore it.
