It’s been almost 8 years since I graduated, and I’ve been working in a field that isn’t related to my area of specialization. Previously, I was involved in distillation processes in the polysilicon industry; from the stage of project construction to its successful operation, I progressed from an operator to a section manager. After the downturn in the industry, I decided to step back and pursue a career in safety management; I also obtained the so-called safety certification. However, it seems that the company views safety as a support function that costs money without generating any profits. People are asking me whether I should continue working in safety or return to production. I hope everyone can give some advice.
Shouldn’t safety be given more attention in the country? Especially those with certificates.
**Safety is given quite a lot of attention these days; the work related to safety is pretty good. The security department has a lot of contact with the outside world, and it leans more towards administrative tasks. It seems better than working in the workshop
I agree with this; having more contact with the outside world is beneficial
