Issues regarding the installation of thermometers and pressure gauges in the acidic water tank and the amine-depleted liquid tank

The acidic water tanks we are designing now contain TG and PG, while the amine-poor liquid tanks contain TG, TI, and PG. Of course, at first we referred to two other projects as a reference; we didn’t pay attention to such details back then. Now we’re wondering whether it’s necessary to add TI to the acidic water tanks and PI to the amine-poor liquid tanks. Do you think my idea is reasonable? This post was last edited by ylb913 on 2016-3-2 07:22. Amine solutions are sensitive to temperature, but at TI, it is not located on the tank rather than at the outlet of the cooler. If there is a water seal, considering the addition of PI might be an option, but the vapor phase of the amine solution should not get clogged, so there isn’t much need to add PI. Sewage tanks definitely have a water seal, and the gas phase line is prone to blockage; it’s very necessary to add PI. TI can be absent, but it seems that having TG is sufficient. There is TG and PG at the bottom of the tank; the PG at the bottom is used to determine the liquid level, and it is a key aspect of our inspection efforts, as the tank’s liquid level sensor LI has failed before.
Don’t acidic water tanks also have LG? Can it still be viewed even if LI fails?
