Our company has two water ring vacuum pumps. The original mechanical seals used were single-face mechanical seals, and the gas emitted from the pumps was released into the atmosphere. Now, we need to control VOC emissions; therefore, we plan to modify the existing outlet pipelines so that they connect to the company’s flare system. However, we are concerned that a leak in the single-face seal could allow oxygen to enter the flare system, posing a potential threat to it.
