For steam silencers with top discharge, what are the requirements regarding piping? Specifically, at what height and in what position should the silencer be placed to avoid causing harm to people?
I don’t know. It cannot be directed at areas where people are present, or into steam-filled zones; it must not be in places where people can reach it, to avoid burns!
There is no requirement regarding this height; as long as the exhaust outlet faces upward is fine. I specialize in manufacturing silencers
Use the height of your actual factory building as a reference~~~~~ Generally, compressors need to be placed above the roof of the factory building.
From the perspective of process safety, standard practice is to place exhaust outlets at a distance of more than 2.5 meters from the operating platform to prevent injury.
So, if the silencer is mounted to discharge upward, what are the requirements regarding the distance between its projection point and the pedestrian walkway? For example, can it be placed right above the walkway?
The release of steam generally requires safe venting; for the waste steam that needs to be discharged continuously or frequently at SH3012, it should be kept as far away from the operation area as possible. Non-flammable gases discharged directly into the atmosphere are usually required to be released at a height of at least 2.2 meters above the platform. Silencers generate backpressure, so special attention must be paid to the piping system

In most cases, the required height is 2.5 meters, but the latest standard I recall specifies a height of 2.2 meters. The silencer has a drain outlet for condensate water, which can be connected to a small pipe to lead it to a designated location. A small opening is provided at the lowest point on the outlet pipe of the safety valve; this is also known as a tear eye. Pipelines are stress pipelines that require stress calculation.
