Dear experts, I have a question. There is a tank area for modified asphalt, where asphalt-based materials are stored. Is it necessary to build fire dikes around these storage tanks? Should I refer to the \"Design Code for Oil Storage Tanks\" or the petrochemical regulations? The owner failed to construct fire dikes around two tanks. Thank you!
If stored in a warehouse, refer to the oil depot regulations. To install a fire dike, the regulatory requirement is: “Fire dikes shall be installed for above-ground storage tanks””
Have you ever seen a tank area without fire dikes? Modified asphalt is at least Class C, right? Moreover, the asphalt tanks are very large and all come equipped with heating. .
