May I ask everyone, both the Y-shaped connector and the T-shaped connector belong to the category of tees. So for two connectors of the same diameter, assuming space constraints are not a factor, what are the differences in their usage? When should the Y-shaped connector be used, and when should the T-shaped one be used?
The standard type is T-shaped, available for both high and low pressures. The Y-shaped type is generally used in special situations, due to the orientation of the pipes; it is more common in low-pressure applications. The T-shaped type is widely used, while the Y-shaped type is less common
It is estimated to be related to the flow direction of the medium. If it is a branch pipe converging, a Y-type may be used. Another situation is when the pipeline needs to be ball-tested.

Y-type tees (oblique tees) are also widely used, typically in pipes that branch off from irregular piping systems. Y-type tees have advantages such as reducing resistance, minimizing turbulence, preventing flow disruptions, ensuring good stability, and lowering energy consumption~~
