What is generally done when root supports are installed on stainless steel equipment? The embedded plates on stainless steel should be made of stainless steel as well, right? Then what material should the brackets be made of – stainless steel or carbon steel? If they are carbon steel brackets, welding them directly to stainless steel doesn’t seem like a good idea. The backing plate can be made of stainless steel, while the brackets can be made of carbon steel; external protection is definitely necessary.
For example, in the case of high towers made of stainless steel, the pipes at the top of the tower need to have embedment plates installed on the equipment itself, after which supports are used to hold the pipes in place.
A stainless steel backing plate needs to be added for this. I would like to ask what material the bracket should be made of? For carbon steel, can it be welded on directly?

I won’t do anything related to containers. If you want to add embedded plates, it needs to be done before the container pressure test. Stainless steel pipe supports: at the location right against the pipe, a stainless steel liner is used (similar to your embedded plates), and then carbon steel is used.
After adding the backing plates, weld the supports; stainless steel or carbon steel can be used for these supports. If it doesn’t look good, anti-corrosion painting can be applied to improve its appearance
