CNPC requires that storage tanks for lightly contaminated oil be low-pressure tanks; what should the pressure design be? Do you need a breather valve?
Low-pressure storage tanks: Tanks whose design pressure is greater than 6.9 kPa and less than 0.1 MPa (gauge pressure at the tank top). If there are no oil and gas recovery systems or odor control systems, a flame arrester vent valve should be installed! Of course, it’s best to have an odor treatment system; in any case, avoid releasing it into the atmosphere
