Standard NB/T47042-2014 states that b) when the length L of the cylinder is too large, a structure with 3 or more saddle supports can be considered. This statement is rather vague, and the standard does not specify either what range of L/D values is suitable for using three saddles I have a horizontal tank with a diameter of 4190 mm and a length of 31050 mm. Do I need 2 saddles or 3 saddles?
