Don’t factories basically use float level gauges anymore?
Why isn’t it being used anymore? I really want to know
It has low precision and is prone to contamination; the float staying submerged in the medium for long periods leads to scaling, which increases its weight and results in inaccurate measurements； Additionally, the rods are prone to deformation and scaling, which prevents the float from moving freely; as operating conditions change, the float level gauge becomes less reliable
The float is very intuitive; it isn’t affected by the density of the medium like differential pressure, nor is it influenced by steam at high levels in the tank like radar ultrasonic sensors. It’s simple and direct, and can be used either locally or for remote transmission. It's also good to be a backup. Why not use it?
