Do heat exchangers and separators need to undergo pressure testing before being put into use (they have already passed BV certification through pressure testing prior to leaving the factory)? Or directly make it airtight, purge with nitrogen, then introduce the medium for use! ?
We generally no longer conduct pressure resistance tests; instead, we only perform leakage tests to check the condition of each sealing surface. Moreover, overpressure tests are carried out as little as possible, unless necessary.
Everyone, is there any basis for suppressing or not suppressing it?
Try using a cooling medium in the shell side; as long as there’s no leakage, that’s fine. Is it really necessary to conduct additional tests?
It’s best to conduct a pressure test, so as to have at least an idea, and fill out the pressure test record properly!
