Is the substation considered a civil building? According to Note 3 of Article 4.2.1 of the building codes, is it necessary to observe a 25-meter distance?
If it is not a petrochemical enterprise, must it then comply with building codes?
Conventional substation buildings are classified as Class C buildings, and the fire separation distances can be determined based on their fire resistance rating in the relevant building codes； For petrochemical enterprises, substations are considered to be category II critical facilities; their classification as either plant-wide or regional is determined in accordance with Table 4.2.12 of the petrochemical regulations.
It is now stipulated that the design of chemical enterprises shall be carried out in accordance with petrochemical regulations
May I ask where the regulation for the fifth floor comes from? It seems that Document No. 5 issued by the Safety Supervision Bureau merely stipulates that projects with high explosion risks should follow the petrochemical regulations.
Are Class A tank areas free from the risk of explosion?
Two concepts! I mean not all chemical projects need to comply with petrochemical regulations indiscriminately.
