Colleagues in the group, let’s discuss what type of gasket material is suitable for lubricant system seals
Using wrapped PTFE is more appropriate; it is oil-resistant, does not contaminate the oil, and provides good sealing performance
Polytetrafluoroethylene gaskets and polytetrafluoroethylene wound gaskets can be used.
Graphite wound gasket or PTFE gasket
Pure polytetrafluoroethylene gaskets and graphite gaskets (wound or composite) are not recommended; the former are prone to leakage due to their cold-flow properties under compression, while the latter can contaminate the lubricating oil with graphite debris.
Asbestos gaskets are a type that is being phased out, with environmental and health considerations determining their elimination.
Non-asbestos gaskets. One problem with tetrafluoro gaskets is that, after long periods of use, the flange connection bolts need to be tightened again.
We generally use the 4F winding gasket for the outer ring. Graphite wave-shaped gaskets and graphite wound gaskets mainly cause contamination in the lubrication system, as there is a concern that the graphite may fall off.
4F gaskets are acceptable; PTFE wound gaskets work as well
