According to the Safety Specifications for Lifting Operations in Chemical Production Units (AQ3021-2008), no work permit is required for lifting operations involving loads of less than 10 tons. However, GB30871-2014 does not mention anything regarding the exemption from the requirement for a work permit in such cases. So, is a work permit actually necessary?
Follow standard 30871: Lifting operations are considered special types of work, and the workers involved need to have special permits; accordingly, relevant licenses must also be obtained. Safety first.
