Just one week after the Texaco furnace was put into operation, significant fluctuations and a decrease in the burner pressure difference occurred, dropping from 0.6 to 0.2. At the same time, the tray temperature rose as did the temperature at the process gas outlet (which fluctuated in tandem with the burner pressure difference but in the opposite direction), while the flow rate of the process gas decreased. The quench water and quench chamber liquid level remain essentially unchanged. After load reduction and an appropriate increase in the coal-to-oxygen ratio, recovery occurs gradually, allowing for the reapplication of load. I’m seeking help from fellow travelers – has anyone encountered this situation? What do you think are the reasons behind it? ?
This situation with small furnaces is quite common; it is usually caused by the burner spraying unevenly.
If the pressure difference is low and the temperature of the tray as well as that of the syngas is high, it’s likely that the atomization effect of the burner is poor. Changing the type of coal without adjusting the oxygen-to-coal ratio in a timely manner has caused some blockage at the slag outlet. Waiting for expert opinions:o

An increase in tray temperature may be caused by slag accumulation at the slag outlet.
Check the check valves at the inlet and outlet of the high-pressure coal slurry pump to see if there is any sticking; The imported coal slurry pipeline may experience slurry deposition and blockage
